Six Football Players Invited To Vanderbilt Spring Drills

Football players from Chattooga County were invited to attend Vanderbilt University last Saturday. Athletes, parents, and siblings enjoyed a day on the campus of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. The unofficial visit included introductions from Head Coach Derek Mason and his entire staff.
Players participating were Shawn Lester, Jamarious Mosteller, Jake Hayes, Devin Price, Clayton Johnson, and Louis Medina.
Derek Mason was born on Jan. 17, 1974, in Phoenix, Ariz. On his 40th birthday, he was hired to replace Coach James Franklin at Vanderbilt University. This year, Coach Mason begins his fifth season as head coach.
The Chattooga County football players toured the campus of Vanderbilt and enjoyed breakout sessions by position with members of the Vanderbilt coaching staff. The final events of the day allowed the athletes to tour Vanderbilt Stadium and watch the Commodores participate in the annual spring game.
