Kayak Stolen Near Trion

A kayak and fishing gear are missing from a Trion home, according to Chattooga County Sheriff’s reports.

Helen Teague, of 50 Plum Street, said someone took the kayak and 10 fishing poles belonging to her son, Kenneth.

” I was advised that the kayak was leaning against the back side of her residence and the fishing poles were located in an outbuilding. While speaking further to Ms. Teague I was advised that her neighbor had actually seen the kayak lying in the wood line across from Plum Street on Sunday March 25th, 2018 and later reported it to her,” Deputy Corey Fielding reported.

The incident is still under investigation. The items were valued at $900, according to a report.
