Dies April 1, 2018
Ms. Janet Sue Lee, 59, Summerville, died suddenly Sunday at her residence following an extended illness.
Janet was born in Summerville, on Aug. 23, 1959, daughter of Billie Joe Lee and the late Maxine Reynolds Lee. She was a 1976 graduate of Chattooga High School where she participated in all sports programs. She was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and was a strong advocate for animal protection and pet adoption. She was a member of Four Mile Baptist Church and prior to her retirement, was employed with Wometco. In addition to her mother, a sister, Kathy Yvonne Lee died earlier.
Surviving are her father, Billie Joe Lee; brother and sister-in-law, Frankie “Lightnin” and Debbie Lee; nephew, Justin Lee and his wife, Roxanne; niece and her husband, Stephanie and Jesse Cavin and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins that she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday (today) in the Petitt Chapel of Coffman Funeral Home with Pastor Joel A. Smith and the Rev. Sanford DeBerry officiating. Interment will follow in the Summerville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Reynolds, Andrew Daniel, Kevin Lee, Bryn Lee, Tim Wilson and Bradley Lee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pam Carnes, Mr. and Mrs. James Ayers, Norma Barrentine, members of Four Mile Baptist Church and members of Chattooga High School class of 1976.
Janet will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Thursday from Noon until the funeral hour.
