Claude “Bud” Willingham, Jr.
Claude “Bud” Willingham, Jr., age 87 of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday evening, April 14, 2018 at his residence. He was born March 16, 1931 in Menlo, Georgia, the son of the late Claude Willingham, Sr. and the late Pearle Shaver Willingham. He was a painter by trade in his working career. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Ruth Fowler Willingham; five sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include his children: Michael & Debra Williangham of Whitesburg, Debbie Dentmon of LaGrange, Phil & Diane Willingham of Carrollton, Ricky Willingham of Carrollton, and Lorie & Darnell Wright, also of Carrollton; sister, Hilda Faye Tucker of Summerville; brother and sister-in-law, George & Jessie Willingham, also of Summerville; fourteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great, great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM from Mt. Holly Church with Pastor Evett Guyton officiating. Those serving as pallbearers will be Andy Jenkins, Steve Cheatwood, Kenny Cheatwood, Tracy Rainwater, Zack Borders, Paul Kosier and Hayden Jenkins. Danny Allen and Darold Wendlandt will be seated as honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow in Bowdon City Cemetery.
