E-edition Is Now Locked, Subscribers Have Access

The Summerville News has launched its new website. The site went live at the beginning of this month. Residents have been given the opportunity to see The News free of charge on this site. As of yesterday, the entire site will no longer be free. The e-edition is now locked and is only available to subscribers.

Current subscribers can access the e-edition with a username and password.  Call the newspaper office or email us at summervillenews@gmail.com for a password and username.

Non-subscribers have the option of signing up online (click here to subscribe).

Local residents can also visit our office at 20 Wildlife Lake Road in Summerville. We accept cash, checks and credit cards.
Readers will find a host of improvements to our online edition. New features include text messages and email notifications of breaking news and the ability to read the entire printed edition online.
Viewing the website is also easier. Readers using cellphones and tablets will notice the biggest difference with our responsive layouts that adjust automatically to a device’s screen size.
Reading the entire newspaper is easier than ever for subscribers.
Our current subscribers can access every part of our online site. Users can utilize the same email and password on up to four devices (examples include, but not limited to: cellphone, spouse’s tablet, a home computer and work computer).
It may take a few days to make everyone’s email address active while we convert to our new system.

The annual subscription prices are:
* Residents living in Chattooga County get both the printed and online edition for $25.68. Inside county subscribers must get the printed edition as part of the rate.
* Living outside the county subscription rate is $37.45 (both printed and online editions).
* Electronic subscription outside the county (no printed edition) is $26.75.
The new site is a work in progress and your patience is requested while we tweak it.
Anyone wanting to advertise on the website can call The News for details.

Our telephone number is 706-857-2494. Or you can email us at summervillenews@gmail.com.
