The Summerville-Trion Rotary Club awarded 17 scholarships to Trion High and Chattooga High School seniors Tuesday.
“We interviewed 51 applicants this year,” program chairman Sutton Connelly said. “It was, in fact, one of the most difficult years to choose which students would get the scholarships.”
Connelly challenged the scholarship recipients to not just be satisfied with getting the scholarships, saying the pacts were not the end of their journey but rather, a new beginning.
