Trion Police Chief Concerned With Large Drug Bust
The Trion Police Department arrested three people at a local motel with a sizable amount of methamphetamine and marijuana.
The police learned that drugs were being used at the Trion Carousel Inn, at 14230 Old Hwy. 27, earlier this week. Trion officers watched the motel and noticed suspicious activity.
Officer went to the motel and discovered three occupants inside a room. They allegedly had 2.09 ounces of meth and a Mason Jar filled with marijuana.
“My officers did a good job making this arrest, but it bothers me a little to see that amount of drugs in Trion,” Police Chief Jason Kellett said.
Those arrested, according to jail reports, were:
- Anthony Jinda Carroll, 31, for possession of meth, willful obstruction of an officer, possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, possession of meth with intent to distribute, trafficking drugs, tampering with evidence, possession or use of drug-related objects and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
- Megan Danielle Carroll, 23 for possession of meth, possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, possession of meth with intent to distribute, trafficking drugs, possession or use of drug-related objects and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
- Jimmy Wayne Snyder, 44, for possession of meth, possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, possession of meth with intent to distribute, trafficking drugs, possession or use of drug-related objects and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
