Got Meth For A Friend; Woman Told Cop

Someone tried hiding a small plastic bag of meth in a Summerville patrol car Friday night, according to a police report.

Summerville Policeman Gary Pruitt originally arrested Alicia Gray, 34, for minor traffic violations. During the ride to jail, Gray allegedly put the meth in the back of the patrol car, according to a police report.

“Mrs. Gray stated that she was picking the methamphetamine up for a friend and that when she was arrested, she threw it in the backseat of the patrol unit,” Officer David Westbrooks reported.

Gray was charged with possession of meth, driving on a limited permit and two counts of failure to stop at a stop sign, according to a report.
