Police Called To A Fight On Sixth Street
Two men were cited for fighting in Summerville Monday evening, according to Summerville Police reports.
Police were summoned around 6:40 p.m. to a fight on Sixth Street involving two males, one allegedly had a knife.
Albert Dupree, 31, of 559 Sixth Street, Summerville, and Yussef Shockley, 18, of 190 Alred Street, Summerville, were cited for disorderly conduct, according to reports.
“The mother of Albert Dupree, Glenda Smith, stated that she had pulled a knife but only to try and break up the fight between Albert and Yussef. She stated that she never intended to cut anyone, only to scare them into stop fighting,” Officer David Westbrooks reported.
When officers talked with Dupree, he refused to say much. In fact, he said the fight never happened, according to a police report.
Shockley’s mother said the two men were fighting about a cellphone.
