Chattooga sophomore Jamarious Mosteller once again represented the county well when he competed in the USA Track and Field Meet of Champions in Marietta on Saturday. The Meet of Champions was by invitation only and consisted of all Georgia State Champions from every event and all classifications.
The event is designed to give all champions the chance to compete against one another to see who the overall undisputed champion is in all events. Mosteller, AA State Champion in the triple jump, proved he could compete at any level by finishing third at the event. He jumped 45’6” on the day to bring home the bronze. To make the feat even more impressive, Mosteller had played in Chattooga’s spring football game the night before the event.
“I was not able to attend, but I am always so proud of Jamarious and how well he represents our school,” Coach Renee Beasley told The News this week. “He is a special young man with a bright future ahead of him.”
