The Trion Bulldogs football team spent the month of June with their skilled players playing in 7 on 7 games with the lineman attending a specialized camp to hone their skills. In addition, the team’s schedule was full with regular workouts, practices, and a kiddie camp where many players and coaches voluntarily worked with local up and coming kids.
The Bulldog skill players attended four 7 on 7 competitions in all with two coming at Darlington, they hosted Model for one, and took a trip to Southeast Whitfield for one. The offensive line headed south to attend the Mike Hodges Camp of Champions in Cochran for five days.
With fall football coming extremely fast, the Bulldogs took the mandated GHSA dead week off this week but will hit the ground right where they left off next week. “We had a fairly busy June,” Coach Justin Brown told The News this week. “But July is when things start accelerating for us.”
