Lyerly Residence Burglarized; Cash and Key Taken
Someone pried open the front door of a Lyerly residence and stole several items Wednesday, according to a Chattooga County Sheriff’s report.
Charles West, of Evans Road, found two pry marks around the deadbolt and doorknob. The door frame was also busted. Once inside his home, West noticed that someone had rummaged through the house.
” Mr. West advised that a homemade wooden box containing $300 cash, keys to a Ford Ranger truck, and his wife’s (Ms. Chandy Day) driver’s license were missing from the top drawer of the nightstand,” Deputy Nick Robinson said.
