300 Vote Early In State Runoff Elections

Only 300 people voted early in Chattooga County for the Republican and Democratic primary runoffs, according to Chief Registrar Elaine Pledger.

The runoff on the Republican side included Casey Cagle and Brian Kemp running for Georgia governor. For lieutenant governor, Geoff Duncan and David Shafer are competing for that spot. The secretary of state position is being sought by David Belle Isle and Brad Raffensperger.

On the Democratic runoff ballot, Sid Chapman and Otha E. Thornton Jr., are running for state school superintendent.
