(UPDATED) Boil water advisory has been issued for a select few

A Summerville water pump has been replaced and the Cooper Hill Reservoir is currently being refilled. The boil water advisory is still ongoing. Once bacteria analysis are complete, the city will notify customers.

A boil water advisory has been issued for only a few areas of Summerville’s water system.

Water customers living around Buice Lane, Orchard Hill Road, Dry Valley Road from Orchard Hill To Mahan Road from Dry Valley Road to Trion-Teloga Road, Rocky Hollow Road from Orchard Hill to Mahan and all areas in between those roads are affected by the advisory.

A water pump malfunctioned and caused water pressure to drop in these areas. When water pressure goes to low, it automatically triggers a boil water advisory.
