Credit Cards Opened In Local Man’s Name

Two credit cards were opened in a Chattooga County man’s name without his knowledge, according to a sheriff’s report.

Shaun Price found that someone opened a Home Depot credit card account in his name. He did not give anyone permission to open the $3,000 credit line account. Someone has already used $2,469.

Mr. Price advised that he did not open the account. Mr. Price advised that he did call Home Depot credit services and attempted to have the card canceled and he was advised to have a report filed. Mr. Price then advised that a Lowe’s card had also been activated in his name with a $300 limit however, no money had been charged on the account and he was able to get the card canceled,” Deputy Nicole Sprague stated.
