(Updated) Mae Bell McDaniel

Mrs. Mae Bell McDaniel, age 91, of Lyerly, GA, died Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. McDaniel was born May 5, 1927, in Summerville, GA, daughter of the late Johnny and Amanda Dixon Etchison. She was a member of Thomas Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Roper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A. D. McDaniel; sons, Calvin McDaniel, Paul McDaniel, and Michael McDaniel.

Mrs. McDaniel is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Mae Emma Thompson, Rodney and Lucile McDaniel, Warren McDaniel, and A. D. McDaniel, Jr.; a sister, Ruby Adams; brothers, John Etchison, William Etchison, and David Etchison; 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. McDaniel will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 30, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in Thomas Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mose Adams, Milton McDaniel, Steve McDaniel, Joey Wiggins, Kelly Wiggins, and Otis Martin. Flower bearers will be Missionaries from various churches.

Mrs. McDaniel will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Monday.
