Someone broke into a truck left in Lyerly Saturday, according to Chattooga County Sheriff’s reports.

Barry Williams said he left his red Ford Ranger near the intersection of Railroad Street and Alpine Street.

“He advised that he had left his truck there due to mechanical issues. He further advised that he got his sunglasses out of the truck at 9 a.m. . . and nothing was missing or damaged. Mr. Williams stated that when he returned at 11 a.m., his back window was broken and his speaker and box had been taken,” Deputy Rebecca Farmer reported.

The speakers were valued at $1,500, according to a sheriff’s report.
