Children are often told to never accept anything from a stranger, even candy. But what happens when kids offer a stranger candy? That happened last Thursday afternoon at the Summerville Garden Apartments.
A man living at the Summerville Garden apartments said three juveniles knocked on his door and asked if he wanted some candy, according to Summerville Police Officer David Westbrooks.
“The subject stated that one of the juveniles had gone to the side of his apartment and looked through the window as well. The juveniles who were still on the scene stated that they were just trying to be friendly and wanted to know if the caller wanted some candy. The juvenile who looked through the window stated he was just trying to see inside to see if anyone was at home,” Officer Westbrooks stated.
