Mrs. Danette Brooks Jett, 64, Summerville, died Sept. 12 at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome.
She was born Dec. 29, 1953 to the late LeRoy Brooks and Betty J. Bennett Brooks. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and was retired from Shaw Industries. One sister, Bernice Blair died earlier.
Surviving are her husband of 38 years, John Robert Jett, Summerville; daughters, Michelle (Walter) Person, Dalton and Tanya (Travis) Winston, Dallas; son, James Hudson, Jr., Fort Payne, Ala.; sister, Angela (Kenneth) Underwood; brother, Jackie Shropshire, Summerville; grandchildren, Ajee, Tierra, Devon, David, and McKenna; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at New Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin Roach as Eulogist. Interment was in Summerville Cemetery.
Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, had charge of arrangements.
