Jossie Marie Simmons Byrum
Jossie Marie Simmons Byrum, 80, of LaFayette passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy L. Simmons and Loraine Broome Simmons; daughter, Lynn Ridley; grandson, Matthew Ridley; sister, Louise Ramey; and brothers, Don, Jim and Frank Simmons.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Byrum of LaFayette, Ga.; daughter, Cindy Byrum of Athens, Tenn.; son, Greg Raines of LaFayette, Ga.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Vivian Baker of Trion, Ga., Sharon McCormick and Myra Gooden both of LaFayette, Ga., Barbara Cavin of Menlo, Ga., Linda McKeehan of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., Sandra Murphy of Trion, Ga., and Martha Simmons of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held 2pm Saturday, September 22nd in the LaFayette City Cemetery with Rev. Dewey Blalock officiating.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
