Campaign Signs Disappearing Around Chattooga

A few candidates running for a Chattooga County Board of Education seat said their campaign signs are being stolen, according to Sheriff Mark Schrader.

Republican Sammy Ballard reported to Deputy Wendell Flood that three of his signs disappeared.

One sign was located at on Hwy. 114 near North Georgia Sales. One sign was at the intersection of Hwy. 48 and Hwy.
337 and the last sign was located on Smallen Road. The complainant did not have any suspects in this case. The three signs read, ‘Vote for Sammy Ballard.’ The signs were valued at $75,” Deputy Flood stated.

Ballard is not the only one missing signs. A couple of other candidates have mentioned their signs are missing.
