Uncle Jailed After Making Threats
A Summerville resident said he was threatened by his uncle Tuesday night, according to Summerville Police reports. Now that uncle has been jailed.
Zachery Black, 30, said he spotted his uncle walking on Martin Street and stopped to give him a ride home.
“Zachery stated that Todd had then begun to act irate and angry toward him, so he drove away and went home,” Summerville Policeman Gary Pruitt reported.
After arriving home, the uncle allegedly called Zachery’s wife, Heather, and said he was “going to whip” Zachery. At some point, the uncle, 47-year-old Anthony Todd Browning, arrived at the nephew’s home and took a “fighting stance and gotten nose to nose with Zachery,” Officer Pruitt stated. Browning fled before cops arrived.
“Due to the testimonial information I had received from these four subjects, I then went to Todd Browning’s residence and placed him under arrest for city ordinance disorderly conduct. Todd Browning was then transported to the Chattooga County Jail without incident. Upon entering the patdown room with Todd Browning, he uttered to the jail officer that he was going to whip Zach’s a**, but it didn’t work out,” Officer Pruitt stated. Browning was arrested for disorderly conduct.
