Johnny F. Ingle

Mr. Johnny F. Ingle, age 79, of Trion, GA, died Monday, October 1, 2018, at Oakview Health and Rehabilitation.

Mr. Ingle was born October 2, 1938, in Trion, GA, son of the late Clarence Bascom Ingle and Josie Elizabeth Strange Ingle Davis. He was a member and Deacon of the Trion First Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed with Mount Vernon Mills. Mr. Ingle had served as the Mayor of Trion and had also served on both the Trion City Council and the Trion School Board. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Ingle.

Mr. Ingle is survived by his wife, Linda Mae Chamlee Ingle; sons and daughters-in-law, Phil and Secret Ingle, Britt and Connie Ingle, Josh and Ellie Ingle; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jon Skelton; a sister, Patsy Peek; 10 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Mr. Ingle will be held at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 3, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Casey Bramlett, Rev. Mike Woods, and Mr. Mike Poole officiating. Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Sammy Pilgrim, Tim Chamlee, Richard Chamlee, Justice Chamlee, Paul Chamlee, Charles Chamlee, Chuck Chamlee, Brier Ingle, Jerryn Skelton, and Garrison Ingle. Honorary pallbearers will be the 1957 State Championship Football Team of Trion High School.

Mr. Ingle will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Wednesday.
