Dorothy Pauline “Dot” Carroll

Mrs. Dorothy Pauline “Dot” Carroll, age 77 of Summerville, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.
 
Mrs. Carroll was born in Summerville, Georgia on September 25, 1941, daughter of the late Forney West Smith and Alma Mae Brown Smith. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and loved to sew and crochet. She was a member of the Welcome Hill Baptist Church and prior to retirement, was the occupational nurse at Best Manufacturing. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carroll was preceded in death by a son, Tony Carroll, and a brother, Jimmy West Smith.
 
Mrs. Carroll is survived by her husband, Luther David Carroll; son, Adam Carroll (Linda Fordham); daughter-in-law, Lynda Carroll; brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Linda Smith and John and Tonya Smith; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Childers, Ann and Charles Pettyjohn, and Lynne and Scott Noel; granddaughters, Taylor Carroll and Gabbie Carroll; and a number of nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral Services for Mrs. Carroll will be held Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
 
Pallbearers will be Daniel Gray, Dalton Carmon, Chris Noel, David Lee, Jody Smith and Austin Lee.
 
Mrs. Carroll will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
