Mohawk Industries ranks among Forbes’ ‘World’s Best Employers’
Over the past two decades, Mohawk Industries has emerged as the world’s largest flooring manufacturer, now with operations in 19 countries. Forbes magazine’s second-annual list of the World’s Best Employer recognizes that the company’s reputation as an employer of choice has now extended from the U.S. around the globe.
On October 10, Mohawk was ranked 466 out of 500 major corporations in Forbes’ list of “World’s Best Employers.” This follows two consecutive years on Forbes’ ‘America’s Best Large Employers,’ list where the company was also the highest rated flooring manufacturer.
“Mohawk’s global growth has been fueled by talented men and women who are committed to innovation, quality and service,” said Phil Brown, Mohawk’s senior vice president of human resources. “We are honored to be recognized as a top global employer, and we remain committed to providing our people with industry-leading safety and wellness initiatives, comprehensive training programs and a workplace based on respect and appreciation.”
Mohawk has earned a reputation for employee loyalty. Over 5,100 of the company’s global employees – more than one in every eight – have been with the business for 25 or more years.
The Forbes ranking of the World’s Best Employers is drawn from responses to a global poll and regional surveys encompassing more than 360,000 global recommendations. Forbes worked with global digital data collection partner Statista, which uses proven sampling methodologies to facilitate a deep understanding of consumer opinions and behavior. Participation in the survey was voluntary, and respondents were recruited from thousands of sources to maximize reach and representation.
