Raymond E. Winters
Mr. Raymond Earl Winters, age 72, of Summerville, GA, died Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Winters was born December 17, 1945, in Alpine, GA, son of the late Elmer Ervin and Jessie Mae Fincher Winters. Prior to his retirement, he was employed with Mohawk Industries for nearly 50 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Grady Winters and W. A. Winters; sisters, Evie Lee Holt, Mamie Carroll, and Mary Studdard; and a great-granddaughter, Kamlyn Brown.
Mr. Winters is survived by his wife, Faye Winters; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Gary Brown, Kim and Harold Tucker; a brother, Charles Winters; sisters, Sarah Duckett, Hattie Dentmon, and Marie Broyles; grandchildren, Heather and Kevin Studdard, Casey and Kelsey Brown, Trey Tucker; great-grandchildren, Riley Studdard and Cannon Brown.
Funeral services for Mr. Winters will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 14, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Oak Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Trey Tucker, Casey Brown, Kevin Studdard, Jason Winters, Johnny Edmondson, and Wesley Duckett. Honorary pallbearers will be Duane and Debbie Yarbrough, Bo and Louise Bryan, Robert Lemming, Frank Lemming, Sherman Wilbanks, Ronnie and Peggy Winters, Carol Winters, and his former co-workers in the Mohawk Tufting Department.
Mr. Winters will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Saturday.
