Thief Breaks Into A Summerville Business
Someone broke into a local business and stole checks and money between Thursday night and Friday morning, according to Summerville Police reports.
Someone broke into Chattooga Printing, on 18 Oil Mill Road, Summerville, according to the owner Jane Reed.
Someone entered the building through the front door, according to Summerville Policeman Lt. Tim Fulmer.
“The offender then went through her desk, throwing several items of paperwork onto the floor in front of the desk,” Officer Fulmer stated.
The thief took a yellow United Community Bank bag that contained about $100 in cash and about $1,000 in customer checks.
“[Reed] advised that the offender had also taken a fundraiser jar which contained approximately $50 in cash and coins,” Fulmer stated.
The incident is still under investigation.
