Mamie Roper Floyd

Mrs. Mamie Roper Floyd, age 86 of Summerville, Georgia, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Oak View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
 
Mrs. Floyd was born in Chattooga County, Georgia on December 6, 1931, daughter of the late Merley Roper and Ruby Kinsey Roper. She was a member of the Four Mile Baptist Church and prior to her retirement, was employed with Mohawk Industries. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved spending time reading, quilting and tending to her flowers and house plants. Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her husband, Max Floyd; sons, Donnie Floyd and Ronnie Floyd; sisters, Clemmie Doris Roper, Martha McCollum; and a brother, Roy Roper.
 
Mrs. Floyd is survived by grandsons and their spouses, Kelly and Michelle Floyd and Jonathan and Lee Floyd; great-grandchildren, Tyler Floyd, Chloe Floyd, and Dabney Ann Floyd; daughter-in-law, Debbie Floyd; and a number of nieces and nephews.
 
Graveside and Interment Services for Mrs. Floyd will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 3:30 P.M. in the Summerville Cemetery with Bro. Joel A. Smith officiating.
 
Pallbearers will be Johnny Human, Ken Reynolds, Daniel Smith and Ed Ely. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Adult Sunday School Class of Four Mile Baptist Church and Danny Scott.
 
Mrs. Floyd will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.
