First Week Of Voting Brings Out Many

Chattooga County voters aren’t waiting until Nov. 6 to cast their ballot in the local school board and statewide races, according to polling numbers.

During the first week of in-person, early voting at the registrar’s office, 1,169 votes were cast.

“We have now issued 199 absentee-by-mail ballots,” Chief Registrar Sheena Weaver stated.
