(UPDATED) Mary J. Woodham

Mrs. Mary Jo (Hurley) Woodham age 89 of Calhoun, GA passed away Saturday- October 27, 2018 at Pruitt Health Care- Rome, GA.

Mrs. Woodham was born September 25, 1929 to the late Irby and Ruby Bagley Hurley. She was retired from Wal-Mart, former chairperson for the American Red Cross in Chattooga County, sold Avon and Tupperwear, Owned & Operated The Record Shop in Summerville for 43 years, mentored children, and crocheted hats for cancer patients. She was a Baptist by faith.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Woodham is preceded in death by her brothers; Billy Hurley and Miles Hurley.

Survivors include her son; Charles Money, sister; Ruth Garner, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, adopted daughter; Pam Percell, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services for Mrs. Woodham will take place at 11:00 AM Tuesday-October 30, 2018 at the chapel of Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Odom officiating. Burial will follow at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery- Cedar Bluff, AL.  Active pallbearers will be Ron Rubright, Stone Rubright, Richard Rubright, Richard Rubright, Jr., Jeffry Hurley, Charles Money II, Trevor Durham, and Eric Taft.

Mrs. Woodham will be in state and the family will receive friends Monday from 6 – 8 PM at the funeral home.
