Sarah Elizabeth Stamper

Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Stamper, age 76, of Summerville, GA, died Sunday, October 28, 2018, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Stamper was born June 4, 1942, in Holland, GA, daughter of the late John Q. and Gurtrude Mosteller Adams.  She attended school in the Chattooga County School System.  Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a housekeeper for many years at numerous hotels. 

Mrs. Stamper is survived by her sons, Roosevelt J. Adams, Jimmy R. Adams, John Adams, Jr., James D. Adams, Johnny W. Stamper, Harold R. Stamper, Ralph L. Stamper, Carlos (Lavon) Stamper, and Antonio Stamper; siblings, Fred (Marv) Adams and Willie Mae Jordan; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Gadson; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Stamper will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 3, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel.   Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Johnny Christopher, Jonathon Hendrix, Joshual Adams, Carl Wedgeworth, Reggie Ludy, and Don Mosteller.  Flower bearers will be cousins, friends, and nieces.

Mrs. Stamper will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service on Saturday.
