CVS Worker Groped

Summerville police are looking for a customer who got a little too friendly with a local clerk, according to reports.

A clerk at CVS Pharmacy, on Commerce Street, said a customer grabbed her buttocks Sunday afternoon, according to a Summerville Police report.

The man wore a tan colored jacket and he had blond hair and a beard, according to reports.

The clerk was trying to assist the man with his shopping when the assault occurred, according to a police report.

“The male subject placed his arm around her shoulder and then moved his hand down to her buttocks and grabbed her by the butt without her permission or consent,” according to police reports. “The victim became highly agitated at the male subject who then left the store on foot. The male subject was last seen walking on Martin Street close to the intersection of Hwy. 48.”

A police detective is reviewing the surveillance footage of the assault.
