Witness: Woman Smoked Pot Out Of Coke Can At Walmart

The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department received a complaint about a person smoking drugs out of a soda can while on the Walmart Parking lot Sunday night.

Deputy Corey Fielding arrived and spotted the suspicious car with Alabama license plates. The deputy first talked with Travis Jordan who at first denied, but then admitted “he and the other occupants had been smoking marijuana earlier.”

The deputy found a Dr. Pepper can with burnt marijuana residue on the side of the can. Jordan then told deputies that 18-year-old Amy Sierra Prestwood, of Rainsville, Ala., a passenger in the car, had about a gram of marijuana.

I then advised her that Mr. Jordan had told me she had marijuana on her where she then admitted it was shoved down the front of her pants, at this point I then had her turn and face the vehicle where she did retrieve a small clear plastic bag containing suspected marijuana from the front portion of her pants,” Deputy Fielding stated.

Jordan was arrested on an Alabama felony probation warrant and Prestwood was arrested for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. The other occupant in the car was not arrested.
