(Updated) Carl Anderson

Mr. Carl Anderson age 88 of Summerville, GA passed away Friday- February 15, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Anderson was born December 7, 1930 in Lyerly, GA to the late James Perry and Ola Floyd Anderson. He was retired from General Electric and was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Korea. During his service Mr. Anderson earned the Bronze Service Star and the United Nations Service Medal. He was a member of Summerville Pentecostal Church.

Along with his parents, Mr. Anderson is preceded in death by his Daughter; Linda Gail (Bill) Browning; sisters; Jessie (Oather) Powell, Meryl (Sheeney) White, Sally Kinsey (Ken) Shirley Woodall, Brothers; William Fuzz Anderson, Charles (Pauline) Anderson, Bud (Frances) Anderson, Ricky Copeland, Daughter-in-law; Shirley Nelson, and Great-grandson; Connor McGill.

Survivors include his wife, of 62 years, Lois Hammond Anderson, son; Larry Nelson, daughter; Terra Turner (Marty) Sweatman, grandchildren; Sissie (Tony) Dowdy, William Bubba (Lisa) Browning, Carl Todd Browning, Eric Shon Burke; sister-in-laws; Brenda Anderson,  Sandra Copeland, and Hazel Garrett; brother-in-law; Earl Hammond; sister; Emmalou Pullen, grandchildren; Adam (Erica) Nelson, Jon Turner, Candance Gail (Jamey) Henderson, 10 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday-February 18, 2019 at the chapel of Mason Funeral Home.

 Active pallbearers were Bubba Browning, Kyle Shepard, Carson Shepard, Adam Nelson, Farrill Anderson and Bobby Chisolm. Honorary pallbearers were Avery Nelson, Colter Cochran, Tuffton Shepard and the deacons of Summerville Pentecostal Church.

Mr. Anderson was interred at West Hill Cemetery with military honors.

Mr. Anderson will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Sunday from 5-7 PM.
