Jackson Bond won a Tennessee state wrestling championship at Baylor School last weekend in the 106-pound division. He major-decisioned a Christian Academy of Knoxville wrestler, 13-3.
Bond’s record this year was 23-0. He was out a number of weeks during the year due to a hamstring injury.
This state championship is the first in his high school career and his eighth overall, seven of which were in Georgia.
Bond, a freshman at the Chattanooga school, is the son of Kevin and April Bond, Lyerly.
