Trion Police Arrests Two On Meth Charges Within Minutes Of Each Other
Complaints received by the Trion Police Department resulted in two men being arrested on drug charges Thursday, according to Trion Police Chief David Gilleland.
Investigator Dexter Blackmon arrested Joshua Dale White, 29, for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug-related objects. Inv. Blackmon also arrested Anthony Lee Lewis, 33, on Pine Street, for possession of methamphetamine. White was arrested on Myers Avenue. Both men were arrested within minutes of one another, according to a police report.
The police chief and investigator were in the area after receiving a complaint of a suspicious person in the area.
“I would like to thank the citizen who called and encourage them to continue to call when they see suspicious activity. [I] also ask that citizens call the Trion Police Department with tips of criminal or drug activity,” Chief Gilleland said.
