Man Jumps Out Of Burning Camper

 

A Trion man’s camper was destroyed by fire during the early morning hours on Friday, according to a Chattooga County Sheriff’s report.

Benjamin Wade said he was sleeping in the camper which was parked at 221 McCollum Street.

Mr. Wade stated he had to jump out of the back door because the fire was to hot near
the front door. Mr. Wade stated he does not know how the fire started and when I asked him if he
needed to be seen by EMS he stated no,” Deputy Derek Mitchell stated.
