- Someone attempted to break into an apartment at 133 Hwy. 48 on Thursday, according to Summerville Police reports. Tommy Prince said someone kicked the backdoor and damaged the door frame.
- Someone tried breaking into a residence on Taylor Street on Wednesday. Sarah Smith said someone tried prying her backdoor open. “When she returned home from work, she noticed that trim around the door had been pried on causing the trim to splinter. [I] advised that her neighbor’s outbuilding had been broken into the night before,” Officer Steve Bates reported.
- Officers responded to a domestic complaint at 159 Martin Street Thursday night. Trenda Coleman said a woman showed up at her house and began using inappropriate language and talking about her dead son. She then got into a fight with the woman. Officer Matt Wilson advised Coleman that she might want to talk with a magistrate judge.
