Mildred Sue Pemberton

Mrs. Mildred Sue Pemberton, age 79 of Summerville, GA passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at her residence.

Mrs. Pemberton was born December 16, 1939 in Lyerly, GA to the late Joe C. and Edna Dooley Reynolds. She was retired from Mount Vernon Mills and attended North Summerville Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pemberton was preceded in death by sisters, Myrtle (Claude) Mathis, Louise (Gene) Stinnett, Annie (Son) Fairchild; brothers, Johnny (Elsie) Reynolds, Frank (Frances) Reynolds, J.D. (Geneva) Reynolds, Harley (Ruby) Reynolds, Bobby Dooley, and David Reynolds; and a grandson, Cody Lee Reynolds.

Survivors include her daughters, Penny (Danny) Cavin and Kay (Nora) Rogers, Karen (Wayne) Popham, Sheila Toles, Dianne (Ben) Lively; sister, Nancy Darlene Tilson; sisters-in-law, Bea Reynolds and Jewell Dooley; grandchildren, Jason (John David) Cavin, Amanda (Lewis) Grace, Dusty (Brittany) Cavin, Candi (Germaine) Cook, Leslie (Michael) Cook-Bevels, Jonathan (Taylor) Reynolds, Ciera (J.J.) Reynolds, Angela (Robert) Johnson, Tonya (Adam) Hogue, Tabitha Brown, Tristan Lively, Kristian (Ray) Godfrey, Lesa Debenport, Shyla, Kelly, Kim (Ricky) Stoner, and Conrad Toles; great-grandchildren, Dylan Cavin, Nicholas Grace, Madison Grace, Ashlyn Grace, Lucas Grace, Mackenzie Cavin, Hayden Cavin, and Karlee Cavin; Zoey Cook, Zander Cook, Zayden Cook, Braxson Cook-Bevels, Brinlee Cook-Bevels, Brylie Cook-Bevels, Christopher Godfrey, Katie Godfrey, Ty Godfrey, Devan Debenport, Zain Debenport, Abbie (Dakota) Lee, Garrett Sparks, Dawson Sparks, Kaitlyn Johnson, Drew Tucker, Xavier Hogue, Xander Hogue; great-great-grandchildren, Heaven Godfrey, and Brantley Tucker.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pemberton will be at 2:00 PM Friday, April 5, 2019, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sammy Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Tony Reynolds, Don Reynolds, Danny Reynolds, Trevor Webb, and Ben Ledford.  Honorary pallbearers will be Joyce Blankenship, Angie Bagley, Evon Woods, and the staff of Tapestry Hospice.

Mrs. Pemberton will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday.
