Summerville Police Reports . . .


According to Summerville Police reports from this weekend. . .

* Gaynell Hines, of 215 Marvin Avenue, Summerville, said that a yellow colored vehicle had struck her vehicle in the left front side causing damage to the headlight on Friday.

* Arthur Junior Massey, 33, of Huntsville, was arrested for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. He was originally stopped for speeding and Officer Matthew Wilson smelled marijuana around 4 a.m. Saturday.

* Troy Daniel Dunn, 31, of Summerville, was arrested for disorderly conduct on Saturday afternoon. “While investigating this call, I observed Mr. Dunn put his right arm up in a striking manner and had his hand open and made an attempt to swing at his caretaker Mr. Brandon Gurley while in the lobby of the jail,” Officer Matthew Wilson reported.

* A 27-year-old on man was cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession after people noticed him acting suspiciously behind local businesses.

Officers found Travon Ranson, of Summerville, near Pay and Tote on Hwy. 114 as he was walking into the parking lot toward Jim’s Family Restaurant.

“I could smell an extremely strong smell of marijuana emitting from his person. I advised him of the smell and instructed him to give the marijuana tome. He stated, ‘I’m just a user.’ Then he handed me a green leafy substance wrapped in a McDonald’s receipt that he identified as marijuana,” Officer Matt Pritchett stated.
