Alabama law enforcement officials recovered a burned stolen vehicle Monday night that belongs to a Summerville resident.
Officials in Cherokee County, Ala., found a red Dodge Magnum that had burned. They discovered it belonged to John J. Fain Jr., of Seventh Street, in Summerville. Officer Steve Bates was asked by Cherokee County officials to contact Fain Monday night.
“Mr. Fain was asleep when [I] arrived. He stated that his vehicle was suppose to be parked in the yard with the key inside,” Officer Bates stated. “Mr. Fain advised that someone had taken his vehicle without permission and he confirmed with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office that his vehicle had been burned.”
The incident was turned over to investigators.
