City Worker Damages Passing Toyota

A city of Summerville employee using a weed trimmer damaged a passing vehicle around 12:52 p.m. Tuesday, according to a police report.

Jeannie M. Corbin, of Summerville, was driving her grey 2018 Toyota RAV4 northbound on Hwy. 27 when she heard debris strike her vehicle near Cleghorn Street. It was coming from a city employee’s weed eater, according to Officer Lt. Tim Fulmer.

“The debris then struck the right rear corner glass of her vehicle which was shattered and a large piece of metal punctured the right rear tire on her vehicle,” according to a police report.
