(Updated) Brenda Sue Pierce

Mrs. Brenda Sue Pierce, age 70, of Summerville, GA, died Monday, April 29, 2019, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Pierce was born March 13, 1949, in Trion, GA, daughter of the late Thomas Lee Timmons and Aquilla Aileen Rash Timmons.  She was a homemaker and a member of New Beginnings Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Michelle Franklin; and sisters, Wanda Payne and Marion Timmons.

Mrs. Pierce is survived by her husband, Jimmy Pierce; daughters and son-in-law, Brenda and James Franklin, Lynn and Jimmy Collins, Mary and Tim York, Amy and Stacey Robinson, and Amanda Pierce; sons, Isaiah Pierce, Miguel Massey Pierce; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; ex son-in-law, Travis Hudson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pierce will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 2, 2019, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ken Johnson officiating.   Interment will follow in Summerville Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Donnie Hudson, Miguel Massey Pierce, John Hudson, Stevie Craig, Josh Collins, and Matt Hight.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Ladies of New Beginnings Church.

Mrs. Pierce will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
