Tracking Missing Cellphone Comes Up Short

A Summerville woman lost her cellphone at CVS Pharmacy Saturday afternoon and someone has snatched it, according to a city police report.

Chole Rosser, of Summerville, said her iPhone X fell out of her pocket or vehicle around 4 p.m. When she noticed it was missing, she returned to the store to search for it.

“When they attempted to track the phone by the lost phone app, they found that the phone was changing locations,” Summerville Policeman David Westbrooks stated. “The last location the phone was pinged at was at the Kangaroo Convenience store located on Hwy. 114. When they attempted to call the phone it apparently was turned off by the individual and they are now unable to track the phone. The victim was advised to have the phone turned off through Verizon.”
