Woman Allegedly Admits To Driving While On Xanax And Methadone

A 37-year-old woman was arrested for DUI early Saturday morning after allegedly running off the road on Racoon Creek Road in Berryton, according to Summerville Police reports.

Floyd County resident Melissa Latrelle Barry allegedly ran her black 2008 Nissan Titan truck off the road and caused some concerns with other motorists who then called 911. Summerville Police Officer Phillip Cox stopped Barry on Hwy. 114 near Montgomery Street.

“[Barry] admits to running off the roadway. [Barry] admits to taking Xanax and methadone,” Officer Cox stated.

She was arrested for DUI.

    driving on methadone is NOT a DUI offense. it doesnt impair your ability to drive. however combining it with Xanax is incredibly foolish and dangerous because it can kill you.
