Woman Refused To Pay For Lunch

A 35-year-old Summerville woman refused to pay for her food after eating at a local restaurant Monday afternoon, according to a Summerville Police report.

Owner Chasity Foster of Henry’s Restaurant, at 10757 Commerce Street, said a customer ordered lunch around 1:58 p.m. and refused to pay. The customer, Christina Jade Starkey, of 310 Knollwood Circle, said a friend was going to stop by later and pay for the meal.

Starkey then refused to pay for the meal and started coming up with excuses about the food. When the owner said she was calling the cops, Starkey threatened the owner and left on foot.

“The Starkey subject was placed under arrest a short distance from the incident location after a physical altercation with law enforcement,” Officer Lt. Tim Fulmer stated.
