Gently Worn, Used And New Shoes Sought For Fundraiser

 

The Trion High School Lady Basketball program wants your gently worn, used and new shoes to help them raise funds for the program.

All shoes will be accepted, no matter the style or size.

The shoes will be collected through July 15. Please bring your shoes to Trion High School, Chattooga Water District No.1, The Summerville News office or your can send shoes to school with your child/a friend’s child with their teacher’s name/grade on the bag. Pickup will be available if needed.

Collected shoes are used to support micro-enterprise vendors, Micro-enterprises are small businesses in developing nations. They are typically operated by one person or family and friends, depending on size.

    im pretty sure this is illegal in Georgia. unless the shoes are properly sanitized. i KNOW its a bad idea regardless. you ever heard of athletes foot? scabies? who sould actually buy used shoes not knowing the background of said shoes? come on, you can come up with better ideas for a fundraiser. wash dogs, cars, mow yards, a can drive, chili cook off, i could go on and on….
