James Ronald “Ronnie” McDonald, 70, Gaylesville, Ala., died Monday at his residence.
Mr. McDonald was born Oct. 11, 1948, in Summerville, son of the late James McDonald and Grace Warren McDonald. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church and prior to his retirement, he was employed with Mohawk. In addition to his parents, his wife, DeLinda Ann Thomas McDonald; brothers, Kenneth McDonald, Freddy McDonald, Bo McDonald and Ralph McDonald and sisters, Ruth McDonald and Martha Jo Drake died earlier.
Surviving are his sons and daughter-in-law, Chadney and Kim McDonald and Kenny McDonald; sisters, Helen Cranmore and Becky Brown; and a granddaughter, Jordan McDonald.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday (today) from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mickey Skates and the Rev. Dewayne Teague officiating. Interment will follow in Johnson Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chadney McDonald, Tony Blalock, Rodney Gamble, John McDonald Derrick Lee and D. J. Lee.
