Robert Allen Smith

Robert Allen Smith, age 63 of Lyerly, GA passed away Friday- May 24, 2019 at Floyd Medical Center.

Mr. Smith was born September 4, 1955 to Allen George and the late Elfreda Theresa Smith. He was a saw filer engineer at JP Smith Lumber Company for over 28 years, and was of the Christian faith. He is preceded in death by his mother Elfreda Theresa Smith. Robert loved fishing and spending time with family and friends. He never met a stranger, and was  compassionate and genuine in his love for all.

Survivors include his wife, Elwanda Lynn Lea Smith; father, Allen George Smith; sons, Adam Smith, Eric Smith, Jeremiah Glenn, & Dustin (Johnna) Glenn; daughters; Amber (Ted) Glenn, Morgan Glenn, Rhianna (Preston) Glenn; brother, Dean (Jennifer) Smith; sister, Cynthia (David) Marshall; and 8 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive Mr. Robert Allen Smith.

Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be held at 2:00 PM Friday- May 31at the Chapel of Mason Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mill Creek Cemetery.

Mr. Smith will lie in state and the family will receive friends at Mason Funeral home Thursday from 5-7 Thursday.
