Juliette “Judy” Griswell Sorsdahl
Mrs. Juliette “Judy” Griswell Sorsdahl, 92, of Valdosta died Monday, May 27, 2019 at her home.
She was born in Sandtown, Georgia on December 27, 1926 to the late Elias and Trudie Davidson Griswell. Mrs. Sorsdahl was a member of the Berryton Baptist Church in Summerville, Georgia. She enjoyed tending her flowers, working in her garden, listening to the birds and her sweet dog, Foxie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ellison Sorsdahl, Sr.; special friend, Marvin Hughes; and her son, Robert Ellison Sorsdahl, Jr.
Survivors include her son, Howard Sorsdahl of Lithonia, GA; her daughter and son in law, Kathy and Warren Riner of Calhoun, GA; her grandchildren, Katrina and Jason Gibson of Valdosta, James and Leatte Hardy of Resaca, GA, Allen and Michelle Sorsdahl of Auburn, GA, Shawn Sorsdahl of Lithonia, GA; six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Thursday, May 30, 2019 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. John Yates officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11am, Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Lyerly Cemetery in Lyerly, GA with Rev. Mickey Skates officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2pm-3pm at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
Mason Funeral Home is in charge of the local arrangements for Mrs. Juliette “Judy” Griswell Sorsdahl who died on Monday.
